Dalet ד The door.

Dalet  ד is the fourth letter of the Hebrew aleph bet and has a numerical value of 4. Dalet means door. It is first used as the root of a word in Genesis 1:4 in the word בדל which means divided. ד dalet is the primitive root of the word דלות dalut which means poverty or to be in poverty. It is a paradox that illustrates our state of poverty if we fail to open the door to God which is His Word.
